Job Description

We are looking for an experienced PeopleSoft FSCM Functional SME to support financial and procurement processes across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Budgeting, and Asset Management. The ideal candidate should have strong functional expertise in PeopleSoft Financials, accounting principles, fund accounting, and financial system support.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business requirements from Finance and Procurement teams.

• Support and configure PeopleSoft FSCM modules, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Purchasing, Budgeting, and Asset Management.

• Configure approval workflows and authorization thresholds.

• Lead year-end closing activities and budget-cycle processes.

• Prepare functional specifications, test scripts, and reconciliation documentation.

• Plan and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for patches, upgrades, and system enhancements.

• Support audit requests and coordinate with auditors.

• Ensure financial processes comply with applicable accounting standards and business requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years of hands-on PeopleSoft FSCM functional experience.

• Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials modules: GL, AP, Purchasing, Budgeting, and Asset Management.

• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and fund accounting.

• Experience preparing functional specifications, test scripts, and financial reconciliations.

• Experience with UAT, system upgrades, patches, and functional testing.

• Ability to work with auditors and support audit-related activities.

• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in higher education or public-sector fund accounting.

• PeopleSoft Financials certification.

• Experience integrating budgeting tools with PeopleSoft Financials.
