Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to take ownership of project planning, technical team coordination, client communication, and end-to-end software delivery.
The successful candidate will act as the primary coordination point between clients, developers, testers, technical leads, and company management. The role requires a strong understanding of software development, the ability to manage multiple projects, and the confidence to drive accountability across teams.
The candidate must be proactive in identifying risks, resolving coordination issues, managing priorities, and ensuring that project commitments are met. They should be capable of independently managing day-to-day project execution while keeping management informed of progress, risks, and decisions requiring attention.
This is a hands-on project delivery role, not merely an administrative or reporting position.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning and End-to-End Delivery
-
Take ownership of assigned software development projects from requirement clarification through development, testing, release, and ongoing maintenance.
-
Work with clients and technical teams to understand business requirements, scope, priorities, and expected outcomes.
-
Convert requirements into actionable tasks, milestones, delivery plans, and realistic timelines.
-
Estimate and coordinate effort, resources, dependencies, and delivery schedules with technical leads.
-
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring priorities and commitments remain clear.
-
Track planned versus actual progress and take corrective action when projects deviate from agreed timelines.
-
Ensure deliverables meet agreed requirements and acceptance criteria.
-
Manage scope changes, assess their impact on timelines and resources, and obtain appropriate approvals.
-
Maintain clear ownership of deliverables, outstanding actions, and upcoming milestones.
2. Technical Team Management and Coordination
-
Coordinate developers, QA engineers, technical leads, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
-
Understand technical discussions involving application architecture, databases, APIs, integrations, defects, hosting, and deployment.
-
Work with technical leads to assess estimates, identify dependencies, and evaluate delivery risks.
-
Review task progress and ensure developers provide timely and accurate updates.
-
Identify technical blockers and facilitate their resolution.
-
Challenge unrealistic estimates or commitments constructively and help establish achievable delivery plans.
-
Coordinate code reviews, testing, bug fixes, release preparation, and deployment activities.
-
Ensure development work follows agreed priorities, coding practices, and quality processes.
-
Monitor workload distribution and raise resource constraints or competing priorities with management.
-
Foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the technical team.
3. International Client Communication and Relationship Management
-
Serve as the primary day-to-day project contact for assigned international clients.
-
Communicate professionally with clients, including those based in the United States and Europe.
-
Lead project meetings, progress calls, requirement discussions, sprint reviews, and delivery reviews.
-
Provide clear and regular updates on completed work, current progress, upcoming deliverables, risks, and pending decisions.
-
Clarify requirements and ensure client expectations are translated into actionable technical tasks.
-
Manage client feedback, change requests, approvals, and dependencies.
-
Communicate potential delays early, explain their impact transparently, and propose corrective actions.
-
Manage expectations regarding scope, effort, priorities, and delivery commitments.
-
Handle project concerns and disagreements professionally, escalating significant commercial or strategic matters when necessary.
-
Maintain accurate records of client discussions, decisions, commitments, and action items.
4. Project Monitoring, Reporting, and Risk Management
-
Maintain accurate project plans, task trackers, milestone schedules, issue logs, and risk registers.
-
Monitor task completion, overdue items, unresolved defects, and pending client inputs.
-
Prepare regular project status reports for management and clients.
-
Track project health, delivery risks, resource dependencies, and schedule deviations.
-
Identify warning signs early and initiate corrective actions before issues affect delivery.
-
Ensure every significant issue has a clearly identified owner, target resolution date, and follow-up plan.
-
Escalate critical risks promptly with relevant facts, potential impact, and recommended next steps.
-
Maintain visibility into the status of all assigned projects so management is not surprised by preventable delays.
5. Software Quality and Release Management
-
Coordinate requirement analysis, development, QA, user acceptance testing, release, and post-release support.
-
Ensure appropriate testing and defect resolution before deliverables are released.
-
Track outstanding bugs, severity, resolution progress, and client acceptance.
-
Coordinate deployment schedules, release notes, implementation plans, and client notifications.
-
Work with technical teams to identify recurring defects and improve delivery quality.
-
Ensure project documentation and handover information are maintained.
-
Support incident coordination and prioritization when production issues affect clients.
6. Project Management Processes and Continuous Improvement
-
Establish consistent project planning, tracking, reporting, and follow-up practices.
-
Improve visibility into developer workloads, project progress, delivery commitments, and pending decisions.
-
Identify gaps in project ownership, communication, estimation, and execution.
-
Develop practical standard operating procedures and reusable project templates.
-
Use project management tools and AI-assisted productivity tools to improve reporting, documentation, meeting summaries, and workflow efficiency.
-
Review recurring delivery issues and implement corrective measures.
-
Recommend improvements to resource utilization, development workflows, quality processes, and client communication.
-
Ensure that project management practices remain practical and proportionate to the size and complexity of each project.

-
Support project prioritization and resource allocation discussions.
