We are looking for an analytical and hands-on Quality Assurance Engineer with a strong background in API testing and automated test execution. In this role, you will be responsible for validating application programming interfaces (APIs) using tools like Postman and Swagger, alongside developing and maintaining automated test scripts for key software features. You will work closely with developers and product teams within an Agile environment to deliver high-quality, resilient software.

Key Responsibilities

• API Testing & Verification: Design, write, and execute manual and automated API tests using Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI specifications to validate response codes, data payloads, headers, and edge cases.

• Test Automation: Build, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web applications and microservices using modern automation frameworks.

• Test Planning & Strategy: Review user stories, technical specifications, and functional requirements to write comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.

• Bug Tracking & Reporting: Identify, document, isolate, and track software defects in systems like Jira through to resolution.

• CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into build and deployment pipelines to support continuous integration and rapid delivery.

• Agile Collaboration: Participate actively in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective sessions with cross-functional development and product teams.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills

• Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of practical experience in software QA, with a primary focus on test automation and API testing.

• API Expertise: Hands-on proficiency with Postman (collection creation, test assertions, environment variables) and Swagger/OpenAPI documentation for RESTful services.

• Test Automation: Demonstrated experience writing and executing automated test scripts using frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or RestAssured.

• Programming / Scripting: Core working knowledge of languages like JavaScript / TypeScript, Python, or Java.

• Database Skills: Basic to intermediate experience writing SQL queries to verify backend data integrity.

• QA Foundations: Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and Agile development practices.
