Brief Description

Position Overview

We are looking for a Report Developer Intern to help build and maintain the reports our platform produces. Reports are built through configuration and templates rather than code, so this is a hands-on, detail-driven role and not a software development one. You will work from a specification, build the report, and refine it until the output is correct, with a mentor and regular review.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up new reports from a written specification.

• Adjust report layouts so the output is accurate and well formatted.

• Map data into the right places in a report and correct values that are wrong or missing.

• Test each report against sample data before handing it over.

• Fix issues raised on existing reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Comfortable reading and editing configuration files such as JSON.

• Basic HTML and CSS.

• Familiarity with Git.

• Practical experience or familiarity with AI tools (e.g., LLM prompts, AI coding assistants) to streamline template creation, debug configuration errors, and validate data mapping efficiently.

• Strong attention to detail, and the habit of checking your own work.

• Able to work from a written specification and ask questions when something is unclear.

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in computer science, IT, or engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
