Job Summary
Brief Description
We are looking for an Embedded / BSP Engineer to develop, customize, validate, and support bootloader, Linux BSP, kernel, device tree, drivers, and platform-level software for embedded camera, edge AI, and hardware products. The role requires strong hands-on experience in board bring-up, peripheral integration, driver debugging, embedded validation, and coordination with hardware, AI/application, and production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain bootloader and Linux BSP for embedded platforms.
- Work on boot flow, flash partitioning, secure boot, firmware loading, board configuration, and startup optimization.
- Configure and maintain Yocto, Buildroot, vendor SDKs, or platform-specific Linux distributions.
- Support BSP migration, version upgrades, patches, platform stabilization, and production readiness.
- Develop and modify Linux kernel configurations, device tree files, and board support packages.
- Bring up and validate interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART, GPIO, PWM, USB, Ethernet, PCIe, SDIO, MIPI CSI, CAN, RS485, storage, and display.
- Develop, port, integrate, and debug sensor and peripheral drivers.
- Validate pin muxing, power sequencing, reset lines, clocks, interrupts, and interface timing with hardware teams.
- Support camera sensor bring-up using MIPI CSI, V4L2, media controller, ISP pipeline, GStreamer, image capture, and streaming.
- Bring up networking, storage, system services, watchdog, RTC, thermal monitoring, power control, firmware update, and recovery mechanisms.
- Support software-assisted board bring-up using serial console, JTAG, kernel logs, oscilloscope, logic analyzer, and debug tools.
- Develop test utilities, perform stress/stability/thermal/interface testing, analyze failures, and maintain validation reports, issue logs, RCA, and corrective actions.
Preferred Skills
- Strong knowledge of Embedded Linux, bootloader, Linux kernel, device tree, and BSP development.
- Hands-on experience in board bring-up, peripheral driver debugging, and platform validation.
- Experience with I2C, SPI, UART, GPIO, USB, Ethernet, PCIe, SDIO, MIPI CSI, CAN, RS485, and storage interfaces.
- Good understanding of camera pipelines, V4L2, GStreamer, ISP interfaces, RTSP streaming, video capture, and edge AI input pipelines.
- Programming experience in C/C++, shell scripting, Python, or similar embedded development tools.
- Ability to read schematics, datasheets, board manuals, register maps, and hardware design documents.
- Practical debugging experience using serial console, JTAG, oscilloscope, logic analyzer, kernel logs, and system traces.
- B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech with 3–8+ years of relevant experience; exposure to NVIDIA Jetson, Qualcomm, NXP, Rockchip, Ambarella, TI, STM32MP, Yocto, Buildroot, U-Boot, secure boot, OTA, production flashing, and field debugging preferred.
