Brief Description

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented QA / Test Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, security, and performance of our software applications and digital solutions. The candidate will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive testing strategies, identifying and reporting defects, validating functional and non-functional requirements, and working closely with development, business analysis, and project teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in manual and automation testing, API testing, database testing, regression testing, integration testing, and Agile methodologies. ISTQB Foundation Level or Advanced Level certification is preferred/required.

Candidates should preferably hold one of the following:

ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL)
ISTQB Advanced Level – Test Analyst
ISTQB Advanced Level – Test Manager
ISTQB Advanced Level – Test Automation Engineer
Other recognised ISTQB Advanced Level certification

Preferred Skills

1. Test Planning & Strategy

Analyse business and functional requirements and prepare comprehensive test scenarios.
Develop Test Plans, Test Cases, Test Scenarios, Test Scripts, and Test Data.
Define appropriate testing approaches based on project requirements and risk.
Estimate testing effort, resources, and timelines.
Ensure adequate test coverage across functional and non-functional requirements.
Participate in requirement and design reviews to identify potential quality issues at an early stage.

2. Functional & Manual Testing

Perform functional testing of web, mobile, desktop, and enterprise applications.
Execute:
- Smoke Testing
- Sanity Testing
- Functional Testing
- Integration Testing
- System Testing
- Regression Testing
- End-to-End Testing
- Exploratory Testing
- User Acceptance Testing support
Verify application functionality against approved requirements and specifications.
Identify edge cases and validate application behaviour under different scenarios.

3. Automation Testing

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts.
Identify suitable test cases for automation.
Work with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or equivalent tools.
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines where applicable.
Maintain and enhance automation suites to improve testing efficiency and coverage.

4. API & Integration Testing

Perform testing of REST/SOAP APIs and system integrations.
Validate API requests, responses, authentication, data validation, and error handling.
Use tools such as Postman, REST Assured, SoapUI, or equivalent.
Validate integration between internal and third-party systems.

5. Test Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare and maintain:
  - Test Plans
  - Test Scenarios
  - Test Cases
  - Test Scripts
  - Test Data
  - Defect Reports
  - Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM)
  - Test Execution Reports
  - Test Summary Reports
- Prepare test metrics and quality reports for project stakeholders.
- Maintain appropriate testing documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
