Overview
We are seeking a skilled PCB Designer with strong proficiency in Altium Designer (KiCad knowledge is a plus) to join our hardware engineering team. The role involves designing complex multi-layer PCBs, performing reverse engineering, and preparing com-plete documentation for manufacturing and assembly.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop multi-layer PCBs (up to 6 layers) with optimized stack-up and routing strategies.
- Perform component placement and PCB routing ensuring signal integrity, EMI/EMC compliance, and manufacturability.
- Create and validate footprints & symbols for new components.
- Conduct ERC (Electrical Rule Check) and DRC (Design Rule Check) to ensure compliance with design standards.
- Generate and review Gerber files, ODB++ files, drill files, pick & place files, BOMs, and assembly drawings for fabrication and assembly.
- Work with QFN packages, D-Sub connectors, and other complex footprints.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize designs for performance, cost, and reliability.
- Perform reverse engineering of existing PCBs for redesign, improvement, or repli-cation.
- Support prototyping, testing, and debugging of PCB assemblies.
- Maintain accurate documentation and manage design libraries
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Altium Designer (KiCad knowledge is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of PCB stack-up design and high-speed routing techniques.
- Experience with signal integrity, EMI/EMC considerations, and thermal manage-ment.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and ability to generate complete produc-tion files.
- Hands-on experience with reverse engineering PCBs.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or related field.
