Role Purpose
To create timely, accurate and engaging communication for Semicon Keralam and its centres across social media, web, print and event channels. The role combines content writing, social media management and creative design, and is expected to convert technical and programme information into clear public-facing stories and visual communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage content for Semicon Keralam and its centres across social media, websites, newsletters, brochures, presentations, event materials and other communication channels.
- Prepare and maintain monthly and campaign-specific content calendars, ensuring regular coverage of programmes, events, achievements, partnerships, visits, milestones and announcements.\
- Write high-quality captions, short-form posts, articles, event reports, success stories, profiles, interviews, newsletters, website copy, brochures, scripts and promotional content.
- Create professional social media creatives, posters, infographics, carousels, event announcements, presentation graphics, digital invitations and other visual assets.
- ]Provide real-time and rapid-turnaround social media coverage for conferences, workshops, inaugurations, stakeholder visits, launches, exhibitions and other events.
- Coordinate photography, video and short-form content requirements, including reels, short videos, event highlights and digital stories; maintain an organised visual-content archive.
- Work with technical experts and programme teams to simplify semiconductor, electronics, research, innovation and industry-related information without compromising accuracy.
- Adapt one story or announcement into platform-appropriate formats for LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Facebook,YouTube/community posts, website and print communication as applicable.
- Ensure consistency in language, tone, visual treatment, nomenclature and approved messaging across all centres and campaigns.
- Support drafting and formatting of press content, media kits, factsheets, brochures, advertisements, reports and other print collateral in coordination with the branding/media-relations specialist.
- Monitor audience engagement, reach and content performance, and prepare concise monthly analytics and recommendations for improvement.
- Maintain a structured repository of approved copy, creatives, photographs, videos, templates and campaign assets for future use.
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, English, Media Studies, Visual Communication, Graphic Design, Marketing, Digital Media or a related discipline from a recognised institution.
- A postgraduate qualification or specialised certification in communication, digital marketing, design, multimedia or related areas will be an advantage.
Experience
- Preferably 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in content writing, social media communication, digital campaigns and visual design.
- Candidates should demonstrate hands-on experience creating both written and visual content rather than working only in a coordination role.
- Experience in technology, electronics, semiconductor, startup, innovation, academic, research, government or industry communication will be an added advantage.
