About the Role

We are looking for motivated AI Engineer Interns with a strong foundation in Mathematics, Statistics, Python, and Machine Learning. The role provides an opportunity to work on practical AI/ML problems involving data analysis, preprocessing, model development, experimentation, and basic AI agent configuration under the guidance of experienced engineers.

This internship is suitable for candidates who enjoy working with data, understanding how machine learning models work, and applying mathematical and statistical concepts to real-world problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mathematical & Statistical Analysis: Apply mathematical and statistical methods to analyze data, identify trends, interpret results, and support AI/ML workflows.
  • Exploratory Data Analysis: Perform exploratory data analysis and communicate findings through clear visualizations, summaries, and observations.
  • Data Preprocessing: Build data preprocessing pipelines covering missing values, duplicates, outliers, categorical encoding, feature scaling, and data validation.
  • Machine Learning Workflow: Support the complete machine learning workflow, including problem definition, data preparation, feature selection, model training, validation, evaluation, and inference.
  • Deep Learning: Experiment with basic deep neural networks under the guidance of senior engineers and document their performance and observations.
  • AI Agent Configuration: Assist in configuring AI agents using instructions, model settings, tools, and context.
  • Experimentation & Documentation: Document experiments, assumptions, limitations, methodologies, and findings to ensure results can be reproduced.
  • Teamwork & Learning: Collaborate with senior engineers and team members while continuously learning and exploring new AI/ML technologies and techniques.

  • Educational Qualification: B.Tech/B.E. or M.Sc. in Mathematics or Statistics..

1. Mathematics & Statistics — Primary Focus

  • Understanding of linear algebra, including vectors, matrices, and basic matrix operations.
  • Familiarity with calculus concepts, including derivatives, gradients, and their role in optimization.
  • Knowledge of probability and statistical concepts, including distributions, mean, variance, and standard deviation.
  • Basic understanding of sampling, hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, correlation, and regression.
  • Ability to interpret statistical findings, distinguish correlation from causation, and explain uncertainty.

2. Python & Data Preprocessing

  • Basic Python programming skills with familiarity with Pandas and NumPy.
  • Understanding of data cleaning, transformation, and feature engineering.
  • Awareness of train, validation, and test splits and methods to prevent data leakage.
  • Familiarity with data visualization using Matplotlib or Seaborn.

3. Machine Learning Fundamentals

  • Understanding of supervised and unsupervised learning.
  • Familiarity with regression, classification, and clustering.
  • Basic knowledge of overfitting, underfitting, cross-validation, and model evaluation metrics.
  • Understanding of the difference between model training and inference.

4. Deep Neural Network Fundamentals

  • Basic understanding of input, hidden, and output layers, weights, biases, and activation functions.
  • Familiarity with forward propagation, loss functions, backpropagation, and gradient descent.
  • Awareness of learning rate, batch size, and epochs.

5. Basic AI Agent Configuration

  • Awareness of LLMs and how AI agents use instructions, context, and tools.
  • Basic understanding of model settings, structured outputs, and tool permissions.
  • Awareness of hallucinations, output validation, and human review.
