About the Role
We are hiring a Lead QA Engineer to take ownership of quality across enterprise applications. This role covers both manual and automation testing for web applications, APIs, and backend systems. The selected candidate will define the test approach, guide QA engineers, and work closely with leadership, business teams, onsite partners, and developers to deliver stable releases.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end manual and automation testing for multiple projects and release cycles.
• Partner with leadership, business stakeholders, onsite teams, developers, and QA to clarify requirements and testing priorities.
• Define and own the test strategy, including planning, estimation, execution tracking, and quality reporting.
• Highlight quality risks, dependencies, and blockers, and present mitigation plans to stakeholders and leadership.
• Build, review, and maintain automated test scripts in C# using Selenium and Playwright.
• Lead REST API testing and automation, covering request/response checks, integration flows, and error handling.
• Guide database and backend validation using SQL to confirm data integrity and workflow accuracy.
• Drive requirement reviews, test-case design, defect management, release validation, and coverage improvements.
• Mentor QA engineers, review their work, and reinforce testing and automation standards.
• Strengthen QA processes, regression suites, and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
Required Experience
• 7+ years in software testing, with proven experience leading QA work.
• Solid hands-on background in both manual testing and test automation.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience running testing across several projects, priorities, and releases at the same time.
• Ability to understand complex business processes and convert requirements into a practical test strategy.
• Strong programming skills in C#.
• At least 3 years of hands-on Selenium automation.
• At least 2 years of hands-on Playwright automation.
• REST API testing and automation experience, including tools such as Postman.
• Database testing experience, including writing and executing SQL queries.
• Hands-on experience creating and maintaining Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Strong planning, analysis, debugging, mentoring, and problem-solving skills.
