About the Role
We are looking for an Automation Test Engineer with 2–4 years of experience in software testing, who has strong hands-on knowledge of C# and test automation. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working across both manual and automated testing, with good exposure to API testing, SDLC/STLC, GitHub, and CI/CD practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual and automated testing to ensure application quality and reliability.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using C# and frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Design, execute, and maintain test cases, while identifying, documenting, and tracking defects.
- Perform API testing, including testing of Graph APIs, using tools such as Postman.
- Apply software testing fundamentals and follow established SDLC and STLC processes.
- Work with GitHub for source control, including repositories, branching, pull requests, and code reviews.
- Understand and contribute to CI/CD workflows and modern software delivery practices.
- Analyze application issues, troubleshoot failures, and perform effective debugging and root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and management across different geographies.
- Adapt quickly to new technologies, tools, and testing practices as required.
What We’re Looking For
- 2–4 years of experience in automation/software testing.
- Strong programming skills in C#.
- Hands-on experience with at least one automation framework: Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Good understanding of API testing, preferably including Graph APIs and Postman.
- Strong understanding of software testing concepts, including test case creation, execution, and defect management.
- Good knowledge of SDLC and STLC.
- Familiarity with GitHub, including branching, pull requests, repositories, and code review practices.
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts and modern software development practices.
- Experience with or knowledge of test management tools/processes.
- Knowledge of NUnit or xUnit is required.
- Awareness or working knowledge of AI tools used in software development/testing.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a distributed/global team environment.
