Position: Software Test Engineer/ Senior Test Egineer
Experience: 3-5 Years

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and motivated QA Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in software testing. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in manual testing, test automation, API testing, Agile methodologies, and test management tools.
The ideal candidate should be capable of understanding business and technical requirements, designing effective test scenarios, executing different levels of testing, identifying and tracking defects, and developing and maintaining automated test scripts
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business and technical requirements and prepare test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and exploratory testing.
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts.
- Develop automation using Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Perform API testing using Postman or equivalent API testing tools.
- Validate API request/response payloads, status codes, headers, and business rules.
- Identify, document, track, and retest defects.
- Participate in defect triage and collaborate with developers and stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Execute regression and automation test suites for product releases.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Maintain test documentation, test results, and defect reports.
- Communicate testing progress, test results, risks, issues, blockers, and release readiness to stakeholders.
- Participate in stakeholder meetings and clearly present QA findings, risks, and recommendations.
- Collaborate effectively with developers, product owners, business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders.
Mandatory Technical Skills
Automation Testing
- Hands-on experience with at least one of:
- Selenium
- Playwright
- Cypress
- Understanding of automation framework concepts and best practices.
- Knowledge of test script maintenance, reusable components, and automation reporting.
Programming / Scripting
Good hands-on knowledge of at least one:
- Java
- JavaScript
API Testing
- Strong understanding of REST APIs.
- Hands-on experience with Postman or equivalent API testing tools.
- Knowledge of HTTP methods, status codes, headers, request/response validation, and JSON.
- Ability to create and execute API test scenarios.
Testing Fundamentals
- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
Good knowledge of:
- Test planning
- Test case design
- Test execution
- Functional testingRegression testing
- Integration testing
- Defect lifecycle and defect reporting
Agile Methodology
- Practical experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
- Understanding of sprint-based development and QA activities within an Agile lifecycle.
Test Management & Version Control Tools
Familiarity with:
- Jira/Azure DevOps/Git
