Brief Description

Location : Technopark ,Phase 1

Responsibilities
• Administer and support Kubernetes clusters across development and production environments.
• Deploy, configure, scale, and maintain applications on Kubernetes.
• Manage Kubernetes resources including Pods, Deployments, StatefulSets, DaemonSets, Services, Ingress, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Jobs/CronJobs, RBAC, and Namespaces.
• Perform cluster health checks, resource management, capacity planning, upgrades, and configuration changes.
Troubleshooting & Production Support
• Troubleshoot Kubernetes, container, networking, storage, and application issues.
• Analyze logs, events, and metrics to identify root causes and resolve issues.
• Handle production incidents and implement fixes to prevent recurring problems.
CI/CD & DevOps
• Maintain and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines for Kubernetes-based application deployments.
• Work with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Argo CD, or similar tools.
• Improve deployment and release processes through automation.
Monitoring & Security
• Monitor Kubernetes clusters, applications, and infrastructure.
• Support logging, alerting, dashboards, and proactive monitoring.
• Apply Kubernetes and container security best practices, including RBAC, Network Policies, Pod Security Standards, Secrets, authentication, and authorization.
Collaboration & Documentation
• Work with Development, DevOps, Infrastructure, Security, and Operations teams to support deployments and resolve issues.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Preferred Skills

Qualifications;
• Strong hands on experience in Kubernetes administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with one or more Kubernetes platforms/distributions, such as:
o Red Hat OpenShift
o MicroK8s
o SUSE Rancher Prime / Rancher
o Vanilla Kubernetes
o kubeadm
o Other Kubernetes distributions or managed Kubernetes platforms
• Good understanding of Kubernetes architecture and core concepts.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and containerization.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Argo CD, or similar.
• Experience with Helm and Kubernetes application deployments.
• Good knowledge of Linux administration and troubleshooting.
• Scripting experience with Bash/Shell, Python, PowerShell, or similar.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent.
• Understanding of Kubernetes networking, persistent storage, RBAC, and resource management.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills.
• Good communication and ability to work with cross functional teams.
Key Activities
• Manage day to day Kubernetes cluster operations, including deployments, scaling, upgrades, networking, storage, ingress, and resource management.
• Troubleshoot Pod, container, deployment, networking, storage, ingress, and resource related issues.
• Perform root cause analysis using logs, events, and metrics.
• Maintain and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes deployments.
• Use Git and Helm for application deployment and management.
• Automate routine operational tasks using Bash, Python, PowerShell, or similar tools.
• Monitor Kubernetes environments using Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools.
• Support development and IT teams with Kubernetes deployments and troubleshooting.
• Share Kubernetes and Cloud Native knowledge and document solutions.
Preferred Skills
• Experience with SUSE Rancher Prime / Rancher or other enterprise Kubernetes management platforms.
• Experience with OpenShift, MicroK8s, or other Kubernetes distributions.
• Experience with Terraform and/or Ansible.
• Experience with GitOps and Argo CD.
• Experience with Kubernetes upgrades, migration, backup/recovery, or disaster recovery.
• Knowledge of Cloud Native security practices.
