Brief Description

Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Web Developer with 2–3 years of professional experience in a technology company that builds and delivers websites and web applications for clients.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with React.js and Next.js, along with a good understanding of modern web development practices. You will work on a variety of client projects, contributing to the development, enhancement, integration, deployment, and maintenance of websites and web applications.

This role is suited for someone who enjoys building websites, solving technical problems, working with modern web technologies, and taking ownership of projects from development through deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop responsive, scalable, and high-performance websites and web applications using React.js and Next.js.
    • Build reusable and maintainable components using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
    • Convert UI/UX designs and project requirements into functional, responsive web experiences.
    • Work on new website development as well as enhancements and maintenance of existing websites and applications.
    • Understand and work with existing codebases and application structures.
    • Integrate REST APIs, third-party services, and external applications.
    • Work with CMS platforms and implement CMS integrations as required.
    • Configure and work across development, staging, and production environments.
    • Deploy websites and web applications using Vercel and other relevant deployment platforms.
    • Use CLI/terminal and development tools effectively during development and deployment.
    • Troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and implement appropriate solutions.
    • Perform testing, debugging, performance optimisation, and cross-browser compatibility checks.
    • Collaborate with UI/UX designers, project managers, developers, and other team members to deliver projects successfully.
    • Participate in code reviews and follow development and coding best practices.
    • Maintain project documentation and technical information where required.
    • Take ownership of assigned tasks and ensure timely and quality delivery.
    • Stay updated with emerging web technologies and contribute ideas to improve our development practices and solutions.

Preferred Skills

Required Experience & Skills:

    • 2–3 years of professional experience in a web development company, digital agency, or technology company that builds and delivers websites and web applications for clients.
    • Hands-on experience working on real-world client websites and web application projects.
    • Strong experience with React.js and Next.js.
    • Good knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
    • Basic understanding of Node.js and backend concepts.
    • Good understanding of REST APIs and third-party integrations.
    • Basic experience working with CMS platforms and CMS integrations.
    • Basic understanding of Git, CLI/terminal, and modern development tools.
    • Basic understanding of DevOps concepts, deployment processes, and application environments.
    • Experience with Vercel and web application deployments.
    • Hands-on experience with Shopify or Shopify-based e-commerce projects will be considered a major advantage.
    • Basic understanding of DevOps practices and deployment workflows is a plus.
    • Good understanding of responsive web development and cross-browser compatibility.
    • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to understand existing code and independently troubleshoot technical issues.
    • Good attention to detail and commitment to writing clean and maintainable code.

You should be comfortable taking a project from understanding the requirements and working with designs through development, API/CMS integration, testing, debugging, and deployment.

More importantly, we are looking for someone who takes responsibility for their work, is willing to learn, communicates well, and wants to grow into a developer who can independently handle projects and eventually take a leadership role within the development team.
