Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented Mechanical Product Coordinator  to join our growing engineering team. This role is ideal for a graduate or diploma holder with certified training in SolidWorks and CAD design tools who wants to build a strong career in mechanical design and product coordination.

As a Mechanical Product Coordinator, you will work closely with senior engineers and project heads to translate design concepts into precise 3D models, track daily fabrication workflows, and learn end-to-end hardware development.

Experience & Eligibility

Open to recent graduates or individuals possessing up to 1 year of professional background in a related field.

Key Responsibilities

  • CAD Modeling & Drafting: Create and update 2D drafting files and 3D models for enclosures, parts, and assemblies using SolidWorks and CAD tools under senior guidance.
  • Project & Workflow Tracking: Assist in tracking project milestones, maintaining daily task sheets, and ensuring smooth coordination between design and prototyping teams.
  • BOM & Sourcing Support: Help prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and coordinate component sourcing with approved vendors and project heads.
  • Quality & Prototype Inspection: Perform basic dimensional checks and physical verification of 3D-printed or fabricated mechanical components against CAD designs.
  • Documentation & Traceability: Organize technical files, assembly guides, and project documentation for clear team reference and product traceability.
  • Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

  • Graduate Degree (B.E. / B.Tech) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Certification or demonstrated proficiency in SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or other standard CAD/design tools

Technical Aptitude:

  • Solid understanding of core mechanical design principles, 3D modeling, and 2D blueprint drafting.

Preferred Skills

  • Good understanding of 3D modelling and 2D engineering drawings.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical design principles.
  • Familiarity with sheet metal design, 3D printing, fabrication, machining, and mechanical assemblies is an advantage.
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings, dimensions, and basic manufacturing requirements.
  • Good documentation and coordination skills.

Performance Expectation

The selected candidate will be expected to:

  • Deliver accurate CAD models and engineering drawings within assigned timelines.
  • Maintain proper documentation and revision control.
  • Ensure fabricated and prototype components meet design requirements.
  • Identify and report design or manufacturing issues at an early stage.
  • Coordinate effectively with design, fabrication, procurement, and project teams.
  • Follow engineering procedures, drawings, checklists, and quality requirements.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work environment.
