Senior DevOps Engineer

Closing Date:11,Sept 2026
Job Published: 14,Aug 2026

Brief Description

We are looking for an exceptional, hands-on Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and take ownership of our development infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, automation, security, and production reliability.

This is a key technical role for an engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, understands systems in depth, and can identify opportunities to improve the organization through automation. We are looking for someone who does not simply maintain existing processes, but actively analyzes them, challenges them, and transforms them into efficient, reliable, and scalable automated solutions.

Excellent English communication skills are essential for this role. The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders, explain complex topics, document solutions, collaborate across teams, and drive technical initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, maintain, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines.
  • Analyze manual and inefficient processes and transform them into reliable, maintainable, and scalable automated workflows.
  • Identify opportunities where automation can reduce operational effort, improve quality, increase delivery speed, strengthen security, or create additional business value.
  • Define automation requirements, evaluate possible solutions, and lead implementation from initial concept through production deployment.
  • Develop automation tools and internal infrastructure using Python, Groovy, shell scripting, APIs, and other relevant technologies.
  • Manage and optimize Jenkins environments, including pipelines, shared libraries, plugins, agents, and integrations.
  • Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based systems, with a strong focus on Debian environments.
  • Manage artifact repositories and software distribution processes using JFrog Artifactory or similar platforms.
  • Build secure and reliable integrations between internal systems using REST APIs, HTTP/S, authentication protocols, and other API technologies.
  • Monitor infrastructure, pipelines, services, and production environments to identify and resolve performance, stability, and availability issues.
  • Own vulnerability-management processes, including CVE identification, analysis, prioritization, remediation, patching, and reporting.
  • Implement security best practices throughout the software-development lifecycle.
  • Work closely with development, QA, security, IT, and operations teams to improve delivery processes and developer experience.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across applications, networks, operating systems, build systems, and deployment environments.
  • Create clear technical documentation, operational procedures, automation standards, and implementation plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement, technical excellence, and operational reliability across the organization.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly, collaborate across teams, and work effectively with global stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to identify, define, design, and implement automation opportunities.
  • A strong automation mindset, with the ability to understand existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and create solutions that deliver measurable value.
  • Ability to take an automation initiative from requirements gathering and technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
  • Deep understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, routing, firewalls, proxies, ports, certificates, and load balancing.
  • Strong scripting and programming skills in Python.
  • Proven experience with Jenkins, including declarative and scripted pipelines.
  • Experience writing and maintaining Groovy code and Jenkins shared libraries.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD concepts, build processes, deployment strategies, and release management.
  • Experience working with REST APIs, web services, authentication methods, and system integrations.
  • Hands-on experience with Debian-based systems, package management, repositories, and dependency handling.
  • Experience managing JFrog Artifactory or similar artifact-repository solutions.
  • Good understanding of application and infrastructure security.
  • Practical experience handling security vulnerabilities and CVEs, including impact assessment, remediation, patch management, and risk prioritization.
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause-analysis capabilities.
  • Experience working with Git and modern software-development workflows.
  • Ability to design reliable, maintainable, secure, and scalable automation solutions.
  • Strong ownership, independent learning, and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong software-development skills and experience building production-quality tools, services, or internal platforms.
  • Experience designing maintainable software components rather than relying only on scripts or configuration.
  • Experience with Makefiles and software build systems.
  • Experience building, compiling, packaging, or troubleshooting software written in C.
  • Experience developing or building software written in Go.
  • Understanding of compilation, linking, dependencies, build flags, cross-compilation, and software-packaging processes.
  • Experience with containers and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability platforms.
  • Knowledge of software supply-chain security, dependency scanning, binary scanning, and container-image scanning.
  • Experience supporting large-scale development environments or complex enterprise systems.

What We Are Looking For

  • An outstanding communicator who can collaborate confidently and professionally in English.
  • A true problem solver with strong technical curiosity.
  • An engineer who naturally looks for opportunities to automate, simplify, and improve.
  • Someone who can understand a business or engineering process, identify its weaknesses, and define an automated solution that creates real value.
  • An engineer who takes full ownership and follows issues and initiatives through to completion.
  • Someone who can work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple teams.
  • A professional who understands both technical details and their wider operational and business impact.
  • A proactive engineer who identifies risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities before they become incidents.
  • Someone who values automation, simplicity, security, reliability, maintainability, and clean engineering practices.
  • A person who can influence others, drive initiatives, and explain technical decisions clearly.

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer who will not only maintain our systems, but continuously improve the way we work—someone who can identify where automation will make the greatest impact, turn ideas into robust technical solutions, and become a key engineering leader within the organization.
