HEX20 is hiring an Embedded Hardware Design Engineer with proven expertise in electronic product development and embedded hardware design. The role encompasses complete product ownership, including requirements analysis, hardware architecture, schematic and PCB design, component selection, power supply design, board bring-up, validation, EMI/EMC compliance, production support, and lifecycle management.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate a strong commitment to engineering excellence and possess the ability to develop reliable, high-performance electronic products while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
· Gather and analyze customer/system requirements and define hardware architecture.
· Select components based on performance, cost, availability, reliability, manufacturability, lifecycle status, and compliance requirements.
· Design analog, digital, mixed-signal, and embedded circuits using Altium Designer/Allegro.
· Develop and validate power supply designs including buck, boost, buck-boost, flyback, isolated DC-DC converters, and LDOs.
· Support PCB stack-up, layout reviews, SI/PI, grounding, thermal, DFM, and DFT requirements.
· Apply EMI/EMC design practices and support pre-compliance/compliance testing.
· Perform board bring-up, debugging, functional verification, validation, and root-cause analysis.
· Manage hardware deliverables across the product lifecycle, including prototype, EVT/DVT/PVT, release, production, sustaining, and obsolescence phases.
· Work closely with firmware, software, PCB layout, sourcing, manufacturing, quality, and customer-facing teams.
· Maintain BOMs, component records, design documents, validation reports, test procedures, change records, and engineering documentation.
Candidate Profile
· 3–5 years of relevant experience in embedded hardware or electronic product development.
· Strong analytical, debugging, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with customers, leadership, and cross-functional global teams.
· Self-driven, accountable, adaptable, and comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments.
