Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Test Lead to join our Quality Assurance team. As a Test Lead, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all testing activities for projects, ensuring that software products meet high-quality standards before release. You will lead a team of testers, develop test plans, and work closely with developers and other stakeholders to ensure effective test execution, defect resolution, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Strategy & Planning: Develop detailed test plans and strategies based on project requirements, functional specifications, and business goals. Ensure test coverage and that testing efforts are aligned with the overall project timeline.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of testers, providing guidance on best practices, technical expertise, and support in test case design, execution, and defect management.
- Test Case Design & Review: Oversee the creation and execution of test cases and test scripts, ensuring they are comprehensive, traceable, and aligned with project requirements. Review test artifacts for accuracy and completeness.
- Test Execution: Coordinate and monitor test execution, ensuring testing is done as per the plan. Track progress, manage test environments, and ensure the timely completion of testing activities.
- Defect Management: Manage the defect lifecycle, from logging and tracking to resolution. Work with development teams to ensure timely fixes and verify defect resolutions.
- Risk Management: Identify risks related to testing and product quality, raise issues proactively, and work on mitigation strategies.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and present detailed test status reports, test metrics, and results to senior management and project stakeholders. Ensure all test documentation is up to date and accurately reflects the testing process.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess testing processes and recommend improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the testing effort.
- Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, business analysts, and other teams to ensure quality is integrated throughout the development lifecycle.
- Automation Leadership (if applicable): Oversee the implementation and maintenance of automated testing frameworks and scripts. Drive the automation effort to increase test efficiency.
