Job Description
The Senior Airport Systems Engineer is responsible for the administration, support, troubleshooting, optimization, and lifecycle management of mission-critical airport operational systems in a 24×7 international airport environment. As the highest technical escalation point (L3), the role ensures high availability, performance, and seamless integration of systems supporting airline operations, baggage handling, passenger processing, and airport operations. The engineer works closely with airport stakeholders, airlines, OEMs, and vendors to resolve complex technical issues, manage system upgrades, support integrations, ensure SLA compliance, and drive continuous service improvements.
Requirements
- 8–12 years in enterprise application support or managed services.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience supporting airport operational systems in an international airport or aviation environment.
- Strong experience in application integration, middleware, messaging technologies, and ITIL-based service management.
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- ITIL Foundation Certification preferred.
- IBM Integration or middleware certifications are an advantage.
- Relevant certifications from SITA, IBM, or other airport technology vendors are desirable.
