You will design, develop, and maintain smart-client applications using C#, WPF, and WCF. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in building enterprise smart client applications, integrating WCF services, debugging complex issues, and using Git-based workflows. Exposure to .NET Core and modern AI-assisted development tools is preferred.

Preferred Skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain desktop applications using WPF (XAML, MVVM).

  • Build and enhance WCF services including SOAP service contracts, bindings, and configurations.

  • Implement smart-client deployment strategies, including ClickOnce or similar packaging methods.

  • Participate in application architecture, code reviews, and solution design sessions.

  • Debug and fix production and non-production issues with strong diagnostic skills.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration between front-end and service layers.

  • Use Git for version control, branching strategies, code merging, and exposure to CI/CD processes.

  • Utilize modern AI-assisted coding tools to improve productivity and code quality.

  • Work with .NET Core for future migration or integration activities.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of C#, .NET Framework, and OOP principles.

  • Hands-on with WPF, XAML, MVVM, data binding, styles, resource dictionaries, and UI performance tuning.

  • Practical experience in WCF service creation, hosting models (IIS/self-host), service contracts, security configuration, and serialization.

  • Proficiency with Git, branching strategies, and repository maintenance.

  • Good understanding of .NET Core fundamentals (API development, dependency injection, configuration, and middleware).

  • Solid debugging skills using Visual Studio tools, and logging frameworks.

  • Ability to use AI development tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar) for faster design and coding.

  • Familiarity with REST APIs, SQL Basics, and general software engineering best practices.
