Job Description
We are looking for a Production Support Engineer with 3–7 years of experience in Unix and Shell Scripting to join our team in Trivandrum. The ideal candidate should have hands-on production support experience, excellent troubleshooting skills, and be willing to work in a 24x7 support environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 24x7 production support for business-critical applications.
- Monitor application health, troubleshoot incidents, and ensure timely resolution.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
- Work with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues efficiently.
- Execute deployment, maintenance, and operational support activities.
- Create and maintain support documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Participate in on-call support and shift rotations.
Required Skills
- 3–7 years of experience in Application/Production Support.
- Strong hands-on experience with Unix/Linux.
- Proficiency in Shell Scripting.
- Hands-on experience with Korn Shell (KSH) scripting.
- Good understanding of production support processes, incident management, and problem management.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
