Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Junior AWS & Linux Server Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining, monitoring, and optimizing our SMS platform infrastructure. This role requires strong expertise in Linux server administration, AWS cloud services, SMPP protocol, and SMS gateway technologies such as Kannel.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and maintain Linux servers supporting SMS traffic and related applications.
- Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure, including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, and other related services.
- Handle SMPP protocol integrations and manage SMS gateways such as Kannel.
- Ensure high availability, uptime, and performance of services through continuous monitoring and optimization.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot CentOS, Apache, and MySQL environments.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to networking, DNS, routers, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Develop and maintain shell scripts for automation, monitoring, and task scheduling.
- Apply system updates, security patches, and infrastructure hardening measures regularly.
- Configure and manage HTTP and proxy-based load balancing for high-traffic applications.
- Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and third-party vendors to resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Provide remote support during critical incidents, including off-hours and holidays when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with CentOS/Linux server administration.
- Working knowledge of MySQL database management.
- Experience with SMPP protocol and Kannel SMS Gateway administration.
- Knowledge of Apache web server, HTTP-based APIs, and performance tuning.
- Good understanding of networking concepts, DNS, firewalls, routing, and load balancing.
- Proficiency in shell scripting and server automation.
- AWS cloud administration experience, including EC2, S3, VPC, and IAM.
- Red Hat Certification (RHCSA or RHCE) is mandatory.
