Brief Description

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled developer to manage and enhance our company’s web platforms and internal systems. This role involves working on multiple WordPress websites while also contributing to the development of scalable, modern web applications.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working across both traditional WordPress environments and modern frontend frameworks, with an openness to leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.

Key Responsibilities

Website Management & Development

- Maintain and update multiple WordPress websites across the organization
- Customize themes and layouts using Elementor and custom code
- Ensure consistency, responsiveness, and usability across all websites
- Implement reusable components and standardize structures across platforms

Plugin & Backend Development

- Develop and maintain custom WordPress plugins
- Build custom post types, forms, and workflows based on business requirements
- Extend WordPress functionality using hooks, REST APIs, and backend logic
- Manage database structures and optimize queries where required

Modern Frontend Development

- Develop and enhance user interfaces using modern frameworks such as Next.js or React
- Build responsive, scalable UI components using Tailwind CSS
- Translate design concepts (e.g., Figma) into production-ready interfaces

Integration & API Handling

- Integrate with third-party systems and APIs (e.g., Microsoft 365, CRM, HR tools)
- Develop and consume REST APIs
- Handle structured data and ensure smooth data flow between systems

Performance & Security

- Monitor and improve website performance (caching, CDN, database optimization)
- Apply WordPress security best practices (updates, access control, vulnerability handling)
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance or security issues proactively

AI-Assisted Development

- Utilize tools such as Claude Code or OpenAI Codex to assist in development tasks
- Review and validate AI-generated code before deployment
- Improve development efficiency through structured prompting and automation

Troubleshooting & Support

- Identify and resolve technical issues across multiple platforms
- Provide timely support for internal stakeholders
- Ensure minimal downtime and quick turnaround for fixes

Collaboration & Documentation

- Work closely with internal teams to gather and understand requirements
- Document technical implementations, workflows, and configurations
- Maintain clean, structured, and scalable code

Preferred Skills

Requirements

Experience

- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in WordPress development
- Proven experience managing multiple websites or complex web systems
- Experience working on custom plugins and backend functionality

Technical Skills (Must-Have)

- Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Solid understanding of WordPress architecture, hooks, and database structure
- Experience in custom plugin development and custom post types
- Familiarity with Elementor or similar page builders
- Experience with MySQL and query optimization
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug issues independently

Modern Development Skills

- Experience with Next.js or React.js
- Experience using Tailwind CSS
- Understanding of API-based architecture and frontend-backend separation

Additional Skills (Preferred)

- Experience integrating third-party APIs and external systems
- Familiarity with Git version control
- Basic understanding of UI/UX principles
- Exposure to AI-assisted development tools (Claude, Codex, etc.)
- Experience working in a collaborative or multi-team environment
