Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Software Test Engineer with 3 - 6 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality through manual and automation testing, contributing to test strategy development, supporting end-to-end testing activities, mentoring junior team members, and leveraging AI powered testing practices. The role requires technical expertise, ownership of testing deliverables, and this is an individual contributor role with informal mentoring responsibilities. You will guide junior engineers on best practices but may not have direct people management or formal team lead authority to start with.
Key Responsibilities

Analyse business requirements and contribute to test strategy, test planning, and effort estimation.

Design, review, and execute functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT test cases.

Own and drive testing activities for assigned modules, projects, or releases, ensuring quality and timely delivery.

Develop, maintain, and execute automated test solutions using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, and Appium and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.

Perform API, web, mobile, and database testing to validate application functionality and quality.

Identify, document, track, and verify defects through closure, collaborating with cross-functional teams for resolution and root cause analysis.

Monitor test execution, quality metrics, release readiness, and provide testing status updates to stakeholders.

Utilise AI-powered testing tools and validate AI/ML-based applications, chatbots, and Generative AI solutions through prompt testing, response validation, and output quality assessment.

Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and testing best practice support to junior QA engineers while coordinating testing activities among team members.

Work closely with Product, Engineering, and DevOps teams to ensure the quality of assigned projects and deliverables.

Required Skills
