Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated Mechanical Design Engineer – Antenna Systems to design and develop innovative antenna and RF electro-mechanical products for telecom, defence, aerospace, radar, and wireless communication applications.
The candidate will be responsible for complete mechanical product development activities including concept design, detailed design, structural analysis, thermal considerations, environmental qualification support, manufacturing coordination, and product lifecycle support.
The role requires experience in:
 RF antenna mechanical packaging  
 Sheet metal, Plastic Injection mold & machined part design  
 Outdoor/rugged enclosure design  
 DFM/DFA and GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
 Structural & vibration considerations  
 CAD modelling and engineering documentation  
Key Responsibilities
 Design and develop antenna/RF mechanical systems and outdoor telecom products.  
 Create 3D CAD models, assemblies, detailed manufacturing drawings, and BOMs.  
 Work closely with RF, Electrical, PCB, System, and Manufacturing teams.
 Develop products considering: Structural integrity, Wind loading, Thermal management, EMI/EMC, IP sealing & Corrosion resistance  
 Support prototype builds, testing, qualification, and production release.  
 Drive DFM/DFA improvements and manufacturing optimization.
 Support environmental qualification activities: Thermal, Shock & vibration, IP testing, Salt spray, Outdoor reliability validation  

Preferred Skills

Required Skills 
 Design and develop: Defence communication antenna systems, RF front-end enclosures, Radar antenna structures, Smart antenna assemblies, Outdoor telecom products  
 Create 3D CAD models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings.
 Develop concepts considering: Structural strength, Wind loading ,Thermal performance, EMI/EMC requirements, IP sealing, Weight optimization, Corrosion resistance  
 Collaborate with RF, EE, PCB, and system engineering teams.  
 Support ECAD-MCAD collaboration activities.  
 Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing teams
 Design & Develop of Sheet Metal part, Plastic Injection mold, 3D Printed part & CNC Machined Parts  
 Resolve manufacturing and field issues using root cause analysis.
 Prepare: Engineering drawings, BOMs, Design reports, Test reports, Assembly procedures
 Selection of Materials, Finishes/Coating and COTS 
 CAD Tools: Free CAD / Solidworks / PTC Creo or any CAD Software 
 Knowledge of MIL Standards and Environmental qualification Standards
 Education Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering / equivalent degree
 Strong ownership mindset and product thinking.
