Role Overview

This role will be responsible for leading HR Operations with a strong focus on payroll and statutory compliance, ensuring accuracy, governance, and process excellence. The position requires hands-on expertise along with the ability to drive improvements and manage stakeholders effectively.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own and lead end-to-end payroll operations with high accuracy and strict timelines
  • Ensure 100% compliance with statutory requirements (PF, ESI, PT, LWF, gratuity, etc.) and manage all filings
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for payroll, compliance, and labor regulations
  • Review and validate payroll inputs, reports, and final outputs before release
  • Manage full & final settlements, audits, and compliance documentation
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and standardization in HR operations
  • Prepare and present advanced MIS, analytics, and dashboards to leadership
  • Collaborate with finance, auditors, and external consultants for compliance and reporting
  • Mentor junior team members (if applicable) and ensure process adherence

Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience in payroll management and statutory compliance
  • In-depth knowledge of Indian labor laws and payroll regulations
  • Experience with Zoho Payroll is an added advantage
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to handle confidential data with high integrity

Educational Qualification

  • MBA in HR / Finance / Operations preferred
  • Graduates with strong domain expertise in payroll and compliance will also be considered
 

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • 5–10 years of relevant experience in HR Operations / Payroll & Compliance
  • Proven ability to own and drive payroll independently
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability
  • Experience in handling audits and compliance reviews
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
