We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Manager to lead growth across our UK domestic insurance portfolio, covering both:
- Direct-to-customer (D2C) sales channels
- Landlord and letting agent (B2B2C) distribution channels
This is a senior leadership role within an FCA-regulated general insurance business, responsible for driving commercial performance, managing sales teams, and ensuring excellent customer outcomes across all channels.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Growth & Revenue Performance
- Own and deliver sales targets across direct customers, landlords, and letting agent channels.
- Drive growth in Gross Written Premium (GWP), policy volumes, and renewals and upsells.
- Improve conversion rates across all sales funnels (direct and partner-led).
- Reduce cancellations and improve customer retention performance.
- Identify and execute growth opportunities across all distribution channels.
Channel & Partner Management
- Manage relationships with letting agents, landlords, and property management partners.
- Support onboarding and activation of new partner accounts.
- Ensure partners are effectively trained on products and processes.
- Drive performance improvement across both direct and intermediary channels.
- Act as escalation point for partner and customer issues.
Team Leadership (MANDATORY REQUIREMENT)
- Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing sales team (essential requirement).
- Set KPIs, performance expectations, and accountability frameworks.
- Coach and develop team members through structured performance management.
- Manage underperformance with clear improvement plans.
- Build a strong, compliant, and results-driven sales culture.
FCA Compliance & Consumer Duty
- Ensure all sales activity across direct and partner channels meets FCA requirements
- Embed Consumer Duty principles across the entire customer journey:
- Fair value
- Clear communication
- No foreseeable harm
- Customer support
- Prevent mis-selling across all channels
- Work closely with Compliance and QA teams on audits, monitoring, and improvements
MI, Reporting & Performance Insight
- Track and report on:
- Sales performance (direct vs partner channels)
- GWP and policy volumes
- Conversion and retention rates
- Cancellation and complaint trends
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership
- Support forecasting and business planning
