Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Business Analyst with 1–2 years of experience to gather, analyse, and document business requirements for web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in requirement elicitation, process mapping, and user story creation, and will work closely with stakeholders, product managers, and development teams to deliver scalable, high-quality software solutions that align with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Requirement Gathering and Analysis:
- Collaborating with stakeholders (clients, product owners, etc.) to understand their needs.
- Translating business requirements into detailed functional specifications for the development team.
- Organising workshops, interviews, or surveys to collect business requirements.
2. Process Mapping and Documentation:
- Creating flowcharts, diagrams, or process maps to visually represent business workflows and system processes.
- Documenting the As-Is (current state) and To-Be (future state) processes for stakeholders and development teams.
3. Liaison Between Business and Development Teams:
- Acting as a bridge between non-technical stakeholders and technical teams to ensure clear communication.
- Explaining technical details to non-technical users in simple terms and ensuring developers understand business goals.
4. Creating User Stories and Use Cases:
- Writing detailed user stories or use cases that define how end-users will interact with the software.
- Clarifying acceptance criteria for features and functionalities.
5. Facilitating Meetings and Sprint Planning:
- Organising and leading requirement review meetings, sprint planning sessions, and retrospectives.
- Ensuring alignment between the business and technical teams during the software development lifecycle.
6. Assisting in User Acceptance Testing (UAT):
- Coordinating and facilitating UAT by creating test scenarios, helping users test the software, and ensuring it meets their expectations.
- Identifying and addressing any defects or issues raised during UAT.
7. Change Management and Impact Analysis:
- Performing impact analysis on any changes requested by the client or stakeholders.
- Communicating the risks, benefits, and effects of changes on existing systems and processes.
8. Market Research and Competitor Analysis:
- Conducting market research and competitor analysis to understand industry trends and ensure the product meets market needs.
