We are seeking a Senior Node.js Developer with 5+ years of experience to design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems and high-performance APIs. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Node.js, distributed systems, microservices architecture, and performance optimization, with the ability to develop robust backend services that support high-traffic applications.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js.
Architect and implement microservices-based backend systems.
Build high-performance, highly available, and secure backend applications capable of handling large-scale traffic.
Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Optimize application performance, memory usage, and response times.
Implement caching strategies, message queues, and asynchronous processing.
Design and maintain database schemas and data models.
Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards and best practices.
Troubleshoot production issues, debug performance bottlenecks, and resolve backend problems.
Contribute to system architecture decisions and technical strategy.
Required Skills
5+ years of experience in backend development using Node.js.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and asynchronous programming.
Extensive experience in building RESTful APIs and backend services.
Strong experience with Express.js, NestJS, or similar Node.js frameworks.
Experience working with microservices architecture.
Strong knowledge of event-driven architecture and asynchronous systems.
Experience with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or DynamoDB.
Experience implementing caching solutions such as Redis or Memcached.
Familiarity with message queues like RabbitMQ, Kafka, or BullMQ.
Strong understanding of performance optimization, memory management, and event loop behavior.
Experience with containerization (Docker) and cloud environments.
Proficiency in Git and collaborative development workflows.
