Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Scrum Master to support our Agile teams in delivering high-quality products through effective collaboration and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will guide teams in adopting Agile best practices, facilitate Scrum ceremonies, and help remove obstacles that impact delivery. This role is key to fostering a transparent, productive, and high-performing Agile environment.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies : Sprint Scope and Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Coach and mentor team members and stakeholders on Agile/Scrum best practices.
  • Track and communicate team velocity, sprint progress, and delivery metrics to stakeholders.
  • Identify and proactively remove blockers and impediments that hinder team progress.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and internal teams to ensure the product backlog or task list is clearly defined, prioritised, and aligned with business goals.
  • Protect the Scrum team from external disruptions and scope changes during active sprints to maintain focus and delivery commitments.
  • Support the organisation’s Agile adoption and transformation by promoting Agile values, principles, and best practices across teams.
  • Facilitate healthy and constructive conflict resolution within the team, encouraging open communication and collaboration.
  • Assist in resource planning and allocation, ensuring the appropriate distribution of team capacity across projects while maintaining balanced workloads and delivery efficiency.
  • Coordinate with management and stakeholders to monitor team capacity, utilisation, and project delivery timelines.
  • Perform Jira Management: configure projects, workflows, boards, permissions, and issue types to align with team processes.
  • Manage Jira project settings, sprint boards, and backlogs to ensure accurate and up-to-date project tracking.
  • Conduct regular Jira Audits : Ensure projectas are planned in jira and everyone have tasks review data integrity, workflow compliance, user access, and ensure reporting accuracy across projects.
  • Generate and publish regular Agile reports : including Sprint Reports, Velocity Charts, Burndown/Burnup Charts, and Cumulative Flow Diagrams — and submit them to the Leadership Team and concerned stakeholders in a timely manner.

Preferred Skills

Required Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of hands-on experience as a Scrum Master in a software development environment.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies — Scrum and Kanban.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II) — added advantage.
  • Proven experience facilitating Scrum events for multiple cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Well-versed in Jira — including project configuration, board management, workflow customisation, sprint tracking, reporting, and user administration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex organisational dynamics.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, iterative software delivery environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Certified Scrum Master (A-CSM) or Professional Scrum Master II (PSM II) certification.
  •  Experience in managing and optimising Kanban workflows for continuous delivery teams
  • Hands-on experience with Jira Advanced Roadmaps, Jira automation rules, and dashboard creation for leadership reporting.
  • Background or exposure to software development, QA, or product management.
  • Experience in enterprise product companies.
