Senior QA Engineer (Automation)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts

• Lead QA planning and execution for releases, ensuring complete test coverage

• Perform automation for functional, regression, and integration testing

• Identify, document, and track defects and ensure timely resolution

• Implement CI/CD test pipelines in collaboration with DevOps

• Review requirements, design documents, and UX flows for testability

• Guide, mentor, and support junior QA team members

• Plan and execute performance and security testing when required

• Continuously improve QA processes, tools, and automation practices

• Provide detailed test reports, quality metrics, and release risks to stakeholders

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure end-to-end product quality

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent

• 5+ years of experience in QA with a strong focus on automation

• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, TestNG, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent

• Experience using APIs and automation tools like Postman, RestAssured

• Proficiency in automation scripting using Python, Java, or JavaScript

• Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle management

• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)

• Strong analytical and debugging skills

• Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in cloud environments – AWS/Azure/GCP

• Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner)

• Exposure to container-based deployments (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Prior experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

• Knowledge of mobile automation (Appium) is a plus
