Thiruvananthapuram, Oct. 27: A high-profile German business delegation visited Technopark here and expressed keen interest in collaborating with the campus’s capacity-building facilities and training models.
Expressing their keen interest in leveraging the state's IT ecosystem, the 28-member delegation interacted with Col Sanjeev Nair (Retd), CEO of Technopark, who provided a ringside view of the state's IT ecosystem and Technopark's achievements.
Speaking to the delegation, Col Nair (Retd.) said Technopark gives prominence to the combination of technology and ecology for balanced growth.
Highlighting the relevance of the state capital, he said, "Apart from a robust ecosystem to collaborate with, Thiruvananthapuram boasts top-class infrastructure, a talent pool, and connectivity, and provides myriad opportunities to collaborate with companies and startups."
“The operational cost in Technopark is 30 per cent lower than in Tier-I cities. Substantial investments are coming up in the city. We can facilitate all activities of investors by putting together all the resources,” Col Nair (Retd) stated.
The CEO also responded to the delegation's queries regarding the state’s startup ecosystem and possibilities for collaborations with companies at Technopark.
The delegation, led by Mr Achim Burkart, Consul General of Germany to India, represented multi-dimensional sectors including deeptech startups, e-commerce, pharmacy, automotive and manufacturing, travel and tourism, real estate, insurance, nursing, kitchen solution, energy management system, skilling, AI, strategic guidance and academic teaching, blockchain, printing and packaging.
