Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Technical Architect with 10+years of experience to lead the design, development, and optimization of open-source solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, with expertise in software architecture, open-source technologies, and a passion for maintaining high-quality code through rigorous code reviews.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, high-performance architectures for open-source applications.
  • Select tools, frameworks, and libraries to meet project and business needs.
  • Lead end-to-end technical project delivery, ensuring quality and best practices.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure coding standards, architectural guidelines, and design patterns.
  • Resolve technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities in the codebase.
  • Establish and enforce coding standards, development guidelines, and best practices.
  • Promote adoption of open-source tools and frameworks; contribute to open-source projects.
  • Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, and DevOps engineers.
  • Mentor developers, fostering continuous learning and improvement.
  • Act as the technical expert, resolving complex challenges and roadblocks.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and technologies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Foster innovation and experimentation to push technical boundaries.

Preferred Skills

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong programming skills in one or more languages: Java, Python, GoLang, or JavaScript.

  • Proficiency in open-source frameworks, libraries, and tools.

  • Expertise in architecture patterns such as microservices, event-driven architecture, and serverless.

  • Experience conducting code reviews for large, distributed teams.

  • Strong grasp of clean code principles, SOLID design patterns, and refactoring techniques.

  • Ability to provide constructive feedback that enhances both code quality and developer capability.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Proven track record of contributing to or maintaining open-source projects.

  • Strong knowledge of Git, GitHub, and version control best practices.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

  • Effective communication skills for engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities.

  • 10+ years of software development experience, with at least 3 years in an architectural role.

  • Demonstrated experience leading open-source projects from inception to delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Redmine).

  • Expertise in security best practices for mobile and web applications.

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
