Computer Vision & Augmented Reality R&D Engineer

Closing Date:30,Sept 2025
Job Published: 21,Sept 2025

Brief Description

We are seeking highly motivated R&D Engineers specializing in Computer Vision and Augmented Reality to design, prototype, and optimize next-generation visual computing solutions. The role involves pushing the boundaries of 3D perception, real-time tracking, and AR interaction through a combination of algorithm research, system design, and hands-on development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research, develop, and prototype algorithms for 2D/3D computer vision, including feature detection, descriptor matching, pose estimation, and object recognition.

  • Build and optimize pipelines for 3D reconstruction, point cloud registration, and depth estimation using monocular, stereo, and LiDAR data.

  • Develop AR solutions leveraging ARCore, ARKit, and Unity, including plane detection, meshing, and spatial mapping.

  • Implement and evaluate feature matching and registration techniques (e.g., SIFT, LSD, SuperGlue, RANSAC-based methods) for robust object/scene understanding.

  • Integrate and optimize machine learning models (e.g., quantized and lightweight vision models) for mobile and embedded platforms.

  • Work across multiple platforms (C++, Python, Java, Swift) to bridge research prototypes with production-level applications.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform R&D outcomes into deployable solutions.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong background in Computer Vision, 3D Geometry, and Augmented Reality.

  • Proficiency in OpenCV, Open3D, Eigen, and feature-matching frameworks.

  • Hands-on experience with ARCore, ARKit, Unity, and real-time spatial computing.

  • Familiarity with point cloud processing, depth sensing, and reconstruction techniques.

  • Programming expertise in C++, Python, and at least one mobile platform language (Java/Kotlin for Android, Swift for iOS).

  • Knowledge of ML model optimization and quantization for resource-constrained environments.

  • Strong problem-solving and R&D mindset with the ability to prototype and iterate quickly.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with neural feature descriptors and transformer-based matching networks.

  • Background in SLAM, visual positioning systems, or optical flow methods.

  • Contributions to open-source CV/AR projects or research publications.

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to work on cutting-edge AR and CV research with real-world impact.

  • Collaborative environment where experimentation and innovation are encouraged.

  • Pathway to publish research, build prototypes, and shape next-gen AR systems.

  • Work on next-generation AR smart glasses.
