Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Java-based test automation. In this role, you will design and maintain scalable automation frameworks, develop robust testing strategies, and work closely with cross-functional teams to embed quality into every phase of the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test Strategy & Design: Develop comprehensive, actionable test plans from complex business requirements to ensure complete test coverage.

  • Automation Framework Development: Build, maintain, and optimize scalable automation frameworks using Core Java and modern testing tools.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with developers, product managers, and QA teams to make quality a shared responsibility across the SDLC.

  • Functional & End-to-End Testing: Conduct rigorous testing to ensure accuracy, performance, and exceptional user experience.

  • Automation Execution: Create and execute automated scripts for web and API testing using Selenium WebDriver, Rest Assured, and related tools.

  • CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) to enable continuous testing and faster releases.

  • Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve automation issues to ensure stability and reliability.

  • Documentation & Standards: Maintain clear documentation, reusable test cases, and well-structured scripts for scalability.

  • Defect Management: Log, track, and collaborate with development teams for timely defect resolution.

Preferred Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in test automation using Java.

  • Strong knowledge of Core Java, including object-oriented principles, exception handling, multi-threading, and file handling.

  • Proficiency in Java Collections (Lists, Sets, Maps, Queues) with solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.

  • Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, including dynamic element handling, custom wait strategies, and cross-browser compatibility.

  • Proficiency in REST API testing using Rest Assured, including request modeling, authentication, and API validation.

  • Experience with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools for test suite integration and automation pipeline maintenance.

  • Familiarity with load and performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, K6, Locust) and the ability to identify performance bottlenecks.

  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
