Book Coloring Artist

Key Responsibilities

•Digitally color illustrations for children's books based on the line art provided
•Maintain consistency in coloring style, palette, lighting, and mood across pages
•Follow creative direction and color references accurately
•Enhance character appeal and storytelling through color choice.
•Collaborate with illustration supervisors, project leads, and other team members
•Ensure timely delivery of high-quality, print-ready artwork
•Maintain attention to detail while meeting project deadlines
• Adobe Photoshop – Expert-level skills required
•Drawing Tablet (e.g., Wacom or equivalent) Optional: Procreate, Clip Studio Paint (based on workflow)
•Familiarity with working in layered PSD files and preparing files for print

Requirements

•Minimum 3 years of experience in digital coloring for children’s books or similar projects
•Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, consistency, and technical skill in coloring
•Expertise in Adobe Photoshop (mandatory)
•Excellent sense of color, lighting, shading, and visual storytelling
•Ability to work independently and as part of a creative team
•Basic understanding of file formats, resolutions, and color profiles for publishing
•Strong communication and time management skills
 Must be able to relocate or commute to Trivandrum, Kerala
