Techversant is looking for a proactive and results-driven Team Lead with a strong background in .NET development. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in .NET Core, MVC, Angular or React,MS SQl and Azure, and be capable of providing technical leadership to a talented group of developers.

About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on PHP Team Lead who can take charge of backend development efforts, guide a growing team of engineers, and ensure timely delivery of reliable and scalable web applications. This role requires someone who understands not just the code, but also the bigger picture — including architecture, performance, and how to keep a development team aligned and productive.

In addition to PHP framework experience, we’re also looking for solid expertise in WordPress CMS, especially in building custom plugins and handling complex integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of developers and be their go-to person for technical guidance and support.

  • Design and build scalable backend services using PHP and modern frameworks.

  • Plan and review development activities, ensuring code quality and best practices.

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and QA to deliver end-to-end solutions.

  • Interact with clients and internal stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates.

  • Own the architecture and maintainability of PHP and WordPress-based systems.

  • Build and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs, and choose the right protocol based on the need.

  • Drive the development of custom WordPress plugins, theme customizations, and CMS-based features.

  • Encourage learning, ownership, and a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

Technical Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of web development experience with at least 2 years in a leadership or mentoring role.

  • Strong command over PHP and frameworks like Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.

  • Deep hands-on experience with WordPress, including custom plugin development.

  • Good understanding of REST, GraphQL, and when to use each.

  • Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and exposure to NoSQL databases is a plus.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization tools like Docker.

  • Comfortable working with front-end teams and integrating APIs with JavaScript frameworks.

  • Additional working knowledge of Go or Python is a bonus but not mandatory.

  • Strong in debugging, performance tuning, and writing clean, maintainable code.

  • Solid understanding of Git workflows, CI/CD, and agile methodologies.
