Brief Description

We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused Desktop and Network Support Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support for desktop systems, hardware, software, and network-related issues, ensuring the smooth functioning of the organization’s IT infrastructure.

 


 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first and second-level support for desktop systems, laptops, printers, and other end-user IT equipment.

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and software applications.

  • Perform routine maintenance and updates on systems and ensure security patches are applied.

  • Support network infrastructure, including switches, routers, Wi-Fi access points, and firewalls.

  • Troubleshoot network issues, including LAN/WAN connectivity, VPN, and DNS/DHCP problems.

  • Set up and manage user accounts, permissions, and access control in Active Directory.

  • Handle onboarding and offboarding of users, including hardware setup and email configuration.

  • Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation.

  • Collaborate with third-party vendors and service providers when needed.

  • Ensure timely resolution of support tickets and maintain service level agreements (SLAs).

 

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • 1–5 years of hands-on experience in IT support or similar roles.

  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and common enterprise applications.

  • Good understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.

  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft Exchange/Outlook.

  • Familiarity with hardware troubleshooting, repair, and upgrades.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with remote support tools (e.g., TeamViewer, AnyDesk, RDP).

  • Good understanding of VoIP technologies is an added advantage.
