We’re seeking a forward-thinking Data Analyst to own and improve the post-ingestion data sanity process in Panoply. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of daily data transfers from S3 into our reporting systems. In addition, you'll leverage AI and automation tools to accelerate reporting workflows, reduce manual effort, and enhance the overall reliability and responsiveness of data delivery. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on optimizing systems, proactively identifying inefficiencies, and building scalable solutions for the future.
Here’s some more detail about this exciting opportunity!
- Key responsibilities include monitoring and validating daily data ingestion from S3 to Panoply, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and format compliance.
- Build and maintain automated data sanity checks in Panoply (e.g., row counts, null checks, timestamp validation, duplication detection).
- Investigate data issues post-ingestion and coordinate with the DB team for upstream fixes where needed.
- Develop and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports based on Panoply data to support business decision-making.
- Implement automation pipelines (e.g., Python scripts, Power Automate flows) to streamline reporting and eliminate repetitive tasks.
- Utilize AI or anomaly detection techniques to proactively flag inconsistencies, missed uploads, or unusual data patterns.
- Build alerting or monitoring dashboards for data health tracking (e.g., freshness, quality metrics).
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and convert them into actionable data solutions.
- Perform other data-related tasks as assigned, with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and automation.
