Brief Description

Job Summary:
The Director of Engineering will lead and manage the engineering department and help us build great
products. This role is crucial in driving innovation, ensuring technical excellence, and aligning
engineering efforts with the company’s strategic goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong
background in engineering, leadership experience, and the ability to foster a collaborative and highperformance engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
o Develop and execute engineering strategies that align with the company’s business
objectives and vision.
o Collaborate with cross functional teams to define the technology roadmap and prioritize
engineering initiatives.
o Identify and implement best practices and emerging technologies to maintain a
competitive edge.

Team Management:
o Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team, including engineers,
and technical leads.
o Conduct performance reviews, set clear objectives, and provide ongoing feedback and
support.
o Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting collaboration,
innovation, and professional growth.

Project Oversight:
o Oversee engineering projects from concept through execution, ensuring timely delivery
within scope and budget.
o Coordinate with product management, design, and other departments to ensure
alignment and integration of engineering efforts.
o Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

Technical Excellence:
o Ensure the adoption of industry best practices, quality standards, and efficient
processes.
o Provide technical guidance and support to resolve complex engineering challenges.
o Stay current with technological advancements and industry trends to drive continuous
improvement.

Stakeholder Communication:
o Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including executive leadership.
o Present engineering strategies, progress, and outcomes to senior management and
other key stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s
degree or MBA preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in engineering roles, with at least 5 years in a
leadership or management position.

Skills:
o Hands-on experience in back-end and front-end development
o Good understanding of agile methodologies
o Strong leadership and team management skills with a proven ability to build and lead
high-performing teams.
o Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
o Proficiency in engineering methodologies, tools, and technologies relevant to the
company’s domain.
o Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and
collaborate across all levels of the organization. 

Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) are a plus but not required.
