Overview
This position is for a Lead Engineer responsible for the design, development, and implementation of software components in AWS. The job location is Trivandrum, India. The role involves regular communication with clients through various collaboration platforms such as web conferences, emails, and other online tools. Responsibilities include requirement elicitation, cloud infrastructure design, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) implementation, CI/CD pipeline development, and cloud migration between environments. The candidate will be expected to take ownership of assigned tasks and ensure high-quality deliverables. A strong sense of initiative, independent decision-making, and the ability to work with minimal supervision are essential. The ideal candidate should possess a proactive and “go-getter” attitude.
Job Responsibilities
- Analyze software requirements and design robust, scalable cloud infrastructure for deploying client applications.
- Review existing deployment architecture (e.g., in GCP) and propose optimized solutions in AWS.
- Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Implement effective monitoring solutions using industry-standard tools.
- Develop high-quality scripts and IaC templates; perform developer-level verification and testing.
- Clearly communicate requirements, scope, and expectations of deliverables.
- Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of all project components.
- Identify potential risks early and define appropriate mitigation and contingency plans.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including customers, to ensure project goals are met.
- Respond to customer escalations with agility and provide rapid resolution for infrastructure issues.
- Promote collaboration between development and operations teams to enable faster and more reliable deployments.
- Proactively recommend and utilize tools/systems to enhance quality, productivity, and efficiency.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in cloud, DevOps, and infrastructure management.
