Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Studio Director to lead our multidisciplinary creative studio. The Studio Director will be responsible for overseeing the entire studio’s operations—including production, creative, client servicing, finance, and talent management—to ensure high-quality deliverables, profitability, and continued business growth.
This role requires a visionary leader who can balance creative excellence with operational efficiency, build strong client relationships, and drive a high-performance culture.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Lead the overall studio strategy, vision, and roadmap.
- Set and achieve business targets including revenue, margins, and delivery quality.
- Drive innovation in workflows, technology adoption, and client solutions.
2. Departmental Oversight
- Oversee all studio departments including 3D, 2D, VFX, animation, creative, production, and project management.
- Ensure coordination across departments for seamless delivery of projects.
- Monitor project pipelines and production schedules to avoid bottlenecks and ensure on-time delivery.
3. Client Management & Business Growth
- Serve as the executive point of contact for key clients and strategic accounts.
- Support sales and business development in pitching and converting new business opportunities.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with clients and industry partners.
4. Financial Accountability
- Own the P&L of the studio and manage budgets for all departments.
- Identify areas for cost optimization without compromising on quality.
- Prepare financial forecasts, reports, and dashboards for executive leadership.
5. Talent & Culture Development
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and creative excellence.
- Lead recruitment, retention, and performance management of senior studio staff.
- Mentor and support departmental heads, ensuring leadership succession planning.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Design, Animation, Business, or related fields.
- 12+ years of experience in the creative/media/production industry.
- Prior experience in managing a multi-disciplinary creative/production studio.
- Understanding of tools like Maya, Blender, Adobe Suite, or project management tools like Jira/Asana is a plus.
