Skills Mandatory: Testing web applications, cross-functional workflows, APIs, Pricing engine, rules engine for applications in the US mortgage domain. Skills Primary: Testing process knowledge, System Testing, Regression Testing, API Testing, SQL knowledge, Knowledge of quality metrics.
Skills - Good to have: Mobile testing, Performance testing & Security testing.

Job Purpose:
To lead and perform hands-on manual testing activities for projects, ensuring adherence to industry-standard testing best practices and driving quality through innovative testing approach.
Job Description / Duties and Responsibilities:
- A Test Lead with strong individual contributor capabilities, adept at collaborating with a highly skilled team to leverage extensive technical expertise in testing applications for the US mortgage market.
- Should work along with Business Analysts on requirement discussions, impact analysis, identifying Critical path and maximizing test coverage.
- Should be a proactive self-starter rather than merely a task executor.
Job Specification / Skills and Competencies:
- Test Case Design & Execution: Design and execute detailed manual test cases based on business requirements, covering critical functionalities and edge cases.
- API and Backend Testing: Perform thorough manual API testing using tools like Postman, ensuring smooth integration and validating endpoint responses.
- Defect Identification and Reporting: Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA, ensuring clear reporting and resolution of issues.
- Collaboration with Development Teams: Work closely with developers and business analysts to understand system requirements, providing valuable feedback from a testing perspective.
- Performance and Load Testing: Conduct performance testing manually, identifying potential bottlenecks and ensuring the system meets performance standards.
- Test Plan Development: Create comprehensive test plans and scenarios to guide manual testing efforts throughout the project.
- Continuous Integration Support: Participate in continuous integration practices, ensuring alignment between testing activities and the overall project workflow.
- Test Process Improvement: Contribute to refining testing processes to improve efficiency, coverage, and accuracy in manual testing activities.
- Domain expertise: Working experience in building applications within US Mortgage Domain.
- Expected to have good communication and experience in working directly with US based customers.
- Expected to work at least 4 hours overlap with US Pacific business hours.
